Network
I use this domain to run more than just this blog — I also run various fanlistings and fansites(-in-progress) dedicated to Japanese musicians and their music. A full list of sites at the network I call the second mourning is as follows, listed in a strict “whatever order makes most sense to me” order.
Domains
mydears.org: a fanlisting and fansite to Gackt (20% done)
Gackt is probably my absolute favorite musician, and I can listen to his music nonstop for weeks on end (and have). While the site is currently only a fanlisting, I’m working on having a complete, interactive discography as well as media and information. I keep pushing back when I’m actually going to sit down and do this; right now spring 2010 is the plan. In the meantime, if you’re a fan of him, I do encourage you to join the fanlisting.
Fansites
Flowers & Dreams: a Stereopony fanlisting and fansite (outdated and needs a revamp)
I was hooked the first time I heard their debut single, “Hitohira no Hanabira,” and I’ve loved their subsequent singles just as much, so I decided to build a fanlisting and fansite to this terrific girl rock band from Okinawa. Aside from having information about their music, the site also hosts a gallery and is frequently updated with news. Hopefully, as time passes I’ll have more to put there, but in the meantime, take a look and join the fanlisting if you’re a fan.
Fanlistings
A fanlisting is a list of fans, nothing more and nothing less. It costs nothing but a moment of your time to join, and if you have a website you can add a button to show your support for the subject. I run quite a few of them myself, and use this domain to host all of the Japanese music fanlistings I own that aren’t on artist-specific domains. A couple of them are need of revamps, but most of them are in good shape.
